Sheryl was born and raised in New Orleans. Sheryl received her nursing degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans where she served as class President and earned The Outstanding Student Award. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Nurse in the Operating Room (CNOR), with over eighteen years experience. Sheryl earned a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) from The World Medicine Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2002. She studied under Dr. Lily Sou Chang. Dr. Chang who is a 64th generation Taoist lineage holder of a 2000 year old tradition inherited from the Han dynasty. Sheryl spent one month studying and traveling through China with Dr. Chang to places that included Beijing, Tian Jin, Shen Zhen, Shanghai, Suzhou, Hang Zhou, Wu Xi, and Hong Kong. As a registered nurse and licensed acupuncturist, Sheryl provides holistic patient care with a blend of Eastern and Western Medicine.
